We have a guest coming to our Heart’s Delight cottages tonight who is in a wheelchair – and unfortunately the cottages are not wheelchair accessible yet. But we want everyone to be able to enjoy this place, so Joe Friday and I spent yesterday building a ramp. She would also really like to have a fire, so we made sure there was lots of firewood ready (all the other cottages were similarly stocked – my poor arms!).
I really like the hands-on nature of my new job as Happy Innkeeper, and I’m getting into the best shape of my life. Even though I was a little apprehensive about using power tools on Friday the 13th! 
You are the best Jerry! Love reading your blog – am taking notes! Thanks for all your hard work – it will be helping us too! Can’t wait to arrive in July & enjoy the nightly fires under Nfld’s beautiful sky! This is the first time we will be there at the beginning of the summer, and I understand there will be lots of whales in the bay so will be looking forward to that too!

Great to hear from you! You are going to love this place. Whales are everywhere, The Berry and I saw a huge humpback last weekend (and see my April 1 Fools’ Day post for one right in front of the house, haha). We also saw about 25 dolphins about three weeks ago (also on the blog).
We might even arrange a ‘Screech In’ for you, just in case you don’t have your green card.

WONDERFUL!!! And that is awesome about the dolphins, and I was very happy to read that you saved the whale! A ‘Screech In’ would be great! I know the kids would love it too! I believe they will be staying with us the first 3 nights we are there. Getting very excited! Hey, and I really like your new flower bed at the back of the house … looks great!!!
