Tuesdays with Murphy: Poor Molly

Devon Rex in NewfoundlandJoe sent us this picture of sweet Molly, his Devon Rex, recouping after a night in the hospital. She was having a bit of a rough time with what the two leggeds think were digestive problems. Thankfully, she has a new diet, and more than her fair share of love from Joe and Friday to get her better. We’re happy to report she’s on the mend!

Tuesdays with Murphy: Sleeping with the Enemy

I have no idea why, but Joe Friday somehow grew wings and is flying to Halifax for a vacation. Who needs a vacation from paradise??? Anyway, while he’s gone, his little devon rex cat, Molly, will be our houseguest.

I was a little nervous about seeing Miss Molly – I met her when I first came to Ocean Delight, and she didn’t seem to like me much. I guess to something her size I seem big and scary – when Jerry and The Berry brought her home she snarled, growled, and hissed like a demon fresh out of hell. Thankfully, to know me is to love me, and my nonchalant demeanor won her over – as you can see, we’ve even taken a few close naps together. I’m a lover, not a fighter!

I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship!

And speaking of another beautiful friendship, I love Jerry and I love his blog. If you do, too, this week is your last chance to vote for him for a TopBlog award. It’s easy to vote, no registration necessary – simply head over to this link and find his category on the bottom left, called Best Professional or Business Life Blog. I’d vote, but I think it’s only open to human citizens!

Molly Monday

I hope that everyone is enjoying the long weekend. I am, but boy are we busy (are you getting sick of me saying that yet? Can’t help it – it’s true!). So today’s post is a quick one, of Molly, our (mostly) sweet Devon Rex. She enjoys our oceanfront view of Shag Rock, too! Don’t you wish you knew what she was thinking – what does an animal see when it sees the ocean??

More Molly?

Our golden retriever, Murphy, has become quite the hit at the cottages (or at least we think so), and has become a resident feature on this blog. He’s so loveable and now, as we play with him in the ocean each night, it’s hard to write about daily life in the Wonderful World of Whiteway without including him. Plus, there’s lots of dog lovers out there on ‘the net.’

So what about Molly, our Devon Rex? Technically, she’s now Joe Friday’s Devon Rex, living with him in his new, nearby cabin. But she is the ultimate faerie cat, charming and elusive, a great little mascot in her own way for all that is mysterious about this unique part of the island. So what say you? Would you like to see more Molly on this blog? Please let me know in the comments!

Devon Hex

Barely a week into these posts and already I’m cat blogging! This is Molly, the fairy cat, the Devon Rex who has hexed my soul. Thanks to our new friend Nicole Winters for the great picture.

This cat is quite the creature. If it’s possible, she seems to like her new home in Whiteway more than we do. She’s really settled in, and who can blame her?

I never expected to be a cat person. And then you get one and she ropes you in. Expect more posts about Molly in the future. And when you check in at our cottages, don’t be surprised if this little one sneaks a peak!
