Shag It Parking

Newfoundland KayakersSo these folks we’re exactly parking, but we’ve had lots of folks paddle up near our shores on boats, kayaks and seadoos. One of the advantages of being right on the water here at the Shag It Cafe and Gift Shop – we see lots of activity, not just Shag Rock! We might have to set up a ‘drive-thru’ down on the beach!

Of course, if you’re coming in more traditional vehicles, we’ve got you covered there, too! Parking at our cafe and gift shop in Newfoundland

Tuesdays with Murphy – Let Me Kayak!

golden retriever and a kayaker on the beach in Newfoundland

Mike Crane has done lots over the past many months to help Jerry and The Berry with their many endeavors. And he likes to kayak after work – Whiteway is a great spot for it. I just don’t know why he won’t let me come along for the ride – I always comes down to the shore to try to beg one!

Kayaking in Trinity Bay

We had two kayakers stay with us last week – Art and Don, both engineers, both from St. John’s. And they’re both my age or older, but you’d never think that looking at them – making me wonder if I should take up this sport! Anyway, they told us that this is a great place for kayaking – you can even go right through Shag Rock.

The Berry and I are thinking about getting canoes and kayaks to rent for next summer. Obviously I’ll let you know if we do!
