We’ve got a busy weekend coming up, with the highly anticipated Alice’s Tea Party, a wedding, plus some more community events on the go, too. So if ever there were a time to relax, now it is! Thankfully, even when we only have a minute or two to spare, there’s lots of beautiful places here to escape to. The Berry has actually been in Ontario of late, visiting her daughter and granddaughter. We’re excited to get her back tomorrow, and get our busy weekend started!
Ladies’ Retreat at The Doctor’s House
Due to some popular demand (thanks for all your Twitter love, peeps!), we’ve announced one of our Fall specials at The Doctor’s House early. Our Ladies’ Getaway Weekends are big hits, so we’ve announced a new one for this September. Bring three of your friends, and recharge, refresh and relax as you let us indulge you with spa treatments, hot breakfast, luxurious rooms, and a beautiful view while you sip wine and catch up with your besties. Find all the details here, or email info@doctorshousenewfoundland.com to learn more or make your reservation.
Our Sunday
Like surely all tourism operators here in NL during the summer, weekends are our busiest times. This weekend we had two weddings, and between them, tours, making sure our guests were happy, and the usual upkeep, we really don’t get a chance to stop. So for me and The Berry, Mondays are the new Sunday. Thankfully, there’s lots of places to relax here at The Doctor’s House. And thanks to Shirley George for the beautiful photo.
Putting Your Feet Up!
There is nothing like putting your feet up at the end of a long day, especially when you can enjoy the sun setting on Hopeall Bay. Here we are enjoying another amazing sunset with the ponies in the foreground, trees in front of that and the Atlantic in front of that. We hope you’re enjoying weekend, and that you’ve found a moment to relax and enjoy all that surrounds us – we’re truly blessed to live in this beautiful province.
Want a Fire?
We really mean it when we say The Doctor’s House is the perfect winter getaway – not too far from the city, we’re a warm and romantic refuge from the dreary season we’ve been having. And of course, there’s one key ingredient for a winter getaway – and that’s a roaring fire to cuddle up before and watch. We’ve got one in our dining room, and, as you can see, there’s no shortage of firewood. We’ll keep you warm!
