Another week, another week of spa specials. Up now are Aveda waxing treatments, which effectively remove hair while ensuring maximum comfort. Or at least that’s what they tell me!

After a brief hiatus, I’m happy to report that our weekly spa specials at The Doctor’s House are back. This week we’re offering the Caribbean Therapy Manicure or Pedicure at a reduced price. This rejuvenating and nurturing treatment uses the healing touch and plant-derived ingredients of the Caribbean to help improve the condition of nails, cuticles, and skin. A special exfoliating paste and warm seaweed masque combine with Caribbean massage techniques to smooth, soften, relax, and renew your skin (sounds pretty good – where do I sign up??).

We’re rounding out the summer with a series of weekly spa specials at The Doctor’s House, and this week’s is quite the indulgent one. Our popular Aveda Rosemary Mint Awakening Body Wrap will be available from today, August 3, to Sunday, August 9, for only $79 (plus, HST, regular $95).
This treatment begins with an exfoliation and a moisturizing massage with Aveda Rosemary Mint Body Lotion. After the body is wrapped, the essences of rosemary and peppermint will awaken your senses, while a scalp and foot massage balance the whole body. It’s great for when you’re feeling tired, heavy or sluggish, and remember that you don’t have to be an overnight guest to enjoy it. With all the comings and goings lately, I think I completely forgot to blog about our new spa specials at The Doctor’s House. We’re excited to have the Spa open 7 days a week this season, and so far, our guests are, too! Tiffany’s picture reminded me of two points of order. First, this is the last week to enjoy our current Spring Spa Specials, so if you’re been waiting to indulge, don’t wait much longer! We’ve got some big news for all those spa-lovers out there (wouldn’t that be everyone?). Starting today, our Spa at The Doctor’s House is open 7 days a week! We’ve got fabulous new Spa staff on board, all trained in the latest Aveda® treatments, and we have special introductory pricing on our new services (including a ‘beautifying body wrap’ and ‘chakra balancing massage’). You don’t need to stay at The Doctor’s House to enjoy the spa either, and it’s just a 5 minute drive from the cottages. Go pamper yourself, visit the new baby animals, walk down to the water, and call it an indulgent day!
A little good news as we head into the weekend: we’ve just extended our Spring Specials at The Doctor’s House through June (June 27, to be exact). That includes our Spring Mini-Fling and our Ladies’ Retreat at The Doctor’s Guest House. The weather is just starting to get nice, and the flowers are just starting to bloom, so we want to share this beautiful season with as many people as possible!
Laurelyn’s also come up with some great new spa packages (including specials for bridal parties), and the Spa is soon going to be open Monday-Thursday. And of course, we’ve got our full menu on tonight and tomorrow at Dining at The Doctor’s House. So yes, we’re getting busy! Happy Friday!
