Beginnning to Look A Lot Like You Know What!

This should be a fun weekend at The Doctor’s House, as we begin decorating for our first Christmas there. If The Berry’s previous efforts decorating the Shag It for special events is any indication, it’s going to be quite stunning indeed. Weddings at The Doctor’s House

Our booth at the wedding show for our Newfoundland inn and spa We had a a terrific time yesterday manning a booth at our first every Devotion Wedding Show in downtown St. John’s. The Berry has been working hard to put together some wedding packages for The Doctor’s House, and we welcomed the opportunity to showcase our beautiful inn and spa, which we both know will make for truly stunning and special occasions. We have a few weddings booked already, and we’ll be looking forward to them.

And after all, the Baccalieu Trail is meant for lovers, what with names like Cupids, Heart’s Content, Heart’s Delight, and Heart’s Desire. And given its beauty and proximity to St. Jonn’s, we think the Trail, and The Doctor’s House, both are a natural choice for wedding destination. Running with the Herd at The Doctor’s House

We are surrounded by wonder and beauty at The Doctor’s House and the Wonderful World of Whiteway. Between Murphy, the ponies, the chickens, the flowers, the trees, the ocean, the trails, Shag Rock, Long Point Cove …. I don’t know which is more beautiful. It’s an embarrassment of riches, and this you can be sure of – we don’t take any of it for granted. Here’s The Berry tending to the horses – truly a labor of love!

Thankfully, my daughter is in town to share it, and we get to celebrate her birthday today – Happy Birthday, Kathryn!

Weekly Specials at The Doctor’s House

I appreciate that people enjoy reading my blog so I try not to use it for selling or advertising too much (although I can’t help what Murphy gets up to – he’s a born marketer and likes to talk up the place!). But I thought I would take this Friday to share a fact you might not be aware of: each Friday, we release new, weekly spa specials at The Doctor’s House. They’re a great way to try us out or treat your friends at a great price. New specials will be posted each Thursday evening on our Specials and Packages tab, so be sure to tune in each week. This week – Eye Contour Treatments and a Carribbean Therapy Pedicure. And don’t think I don’t appreciate these treatments myself – I love being a metrosexual!

The Doctor’s House is Completely Open!

Today is very special – it’s the first night we’re having overnight guests stay at The Doctor’s House. Which means we’re now completely open and ready to bring on the summer. In late May we had an open house for some friends and special guests, our Spa has been pampering clients for a few weeks now, and yesterday we had our first staff meeting (we’ve grown from 3 employees this time last year to now 16!). Now with our Inn open, we’re well on our way to becoming a #1 destination resort and spa. Here’s to a great summer!
