You never know what you are going to find in Newfoundland. Maybe you remember the two seater outhouse. Well, have a look here. The other day I went into Christopher’s Cafe (across from City Hall in St. John’s, it’s one of my favourite places to get soup and sandwiches downtown). I had to do a double take when I saw this – two toilets in the same tiny rest room!
It made me think of when I was a kid and we had a two seater in Torbay (why do we call them the ‘good old days,’ again??). We have come a long way! You can get the same thing in porcelain with heat, lights, and water; and it is inside, not two hundred feet from the house. We take it for granted but it was a luxury once!
Anyway, I burst out laughing and then took the picture. I am still smiling. Hardly something you’d share with your buddy, significant other, ANYONE?
