Look out, blogging world – The Berry (Laurelyn) gave me a new camera – the Nikon D-3100 – for my birthday. It’s a beauty, with all the fixings – now if only I knew how to use it!

So in steps the Wonderful World of Whiteway and our Spring Hare Committee. I’ve signed up for the Digital Photography workshop being offered with Dennis Flynn. If he can help me get my pictures to 1/4 the quality of his, this blog will be looking pretty sharp pretty soon! I say I’m living proof you can teach an old dog new tricks, and I intend to be a true digital photographer before you know it!

The committee is hosting two different workshops on Saturday, June 16th – the one I already mentioned for digital photography, and one with artist and teacher Pamela Williams. You’ll find a link with information on both in the right-hand tab of this site. I know the brochure says we’re past the registration date, but I’ve been told by Albert Legge, one of the organizers, that there are still a few spots left. I’d recommend getting in touch with the organizers if you’re interested in upping your skills, too!
